Opportunity Zone

A portion of Yuma County falls within the Opportunity Zone. As part of the 2017 tax reform package, the newly enacted federal Opportunity Zone program provides a federal tax incentive for investors.  This program was designed to provide federal tax incentives for investors to support distressed communities through favorable treatment of reinvested capital gains and forgiveness of tax on new capital gains.
